Band is offered to all 4th and 5th grade students in the district at each school site two times per week during the school day. Instruments offered for instruction are: flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone and bells/drum kit.

I am starting my 18th year in education. I have had a very diversified career in education. This year starts my 7th year as an elementary band director. This is my second year in the Walnut Creek School District and I can't wait to see how the program has grown since last year. This year I am also assuming the role of Director of the Upper Grade Band at Tice Creek. I have also been an elementary classroom teacher, teaching grades K-6, a Middle School Band Director, and an Instructional Coach working with teachers and students in grades K-8. I have a Bachelors of Music (BM) in Music Education from the University of Redlands and a Masters in Education (MA) in Educational Administration from the University of Redlands. 

 

I look forward to teaching beginning instrumentalists how to play their instrument, read music, work together as a team and love music!
