This is my second year at Indian Valley, but my fifth year teaching.  I’ve been lucky enough to get to teach the 4/5 combo class this year – and good thing because both grades are my favorite!  The students are just gaining their independence and are driven to learn.  They start to see themselves as the propelling force behind their learning, and this in turn creates a sense of responsibility for their future – their dreams are so big!

My entire life I’ve wanted to teach.  You can ask my sisters – we played “school” every summer (my “classroom” was a bit different then).  Now, I am literally living my dream.  My students are my passion.  I aim to reach every student not only through academic learning but through social-emotional learning as well.  My goal is to build character in your kiddos and help them learn to love and believe in themselves.

I am looking forward to spending the year with your kiddos and helping to support their learning.  I can’t wait to see the progression and growth all leading up to their promotion at the end of the year (at which you will definitely see me crying)!
