• Meet the Superintendent 

    WCSD Superintendent

     
    Marie Morgan became Superintendent of Walnut Creek School District on July 1, 2016. She comes to Walnut Creek with 28 years of experience in public education.

    Mrs. Morgan is a visionary leader.  She is a dedicated instructional leader committed to excellence with a proven track record for increasing the academic, social and emotional growth of all students.  Her career reflects a passion for literacy instruction.  She has created a powerful professional learning model to support both teaching and learning.  Her experience with instructional technology, literacy, and STEAM make her a perfect fit for WCSD.

    Mrs. Morgan began her career in Dublin Unified School where she served as an elementary school teacher, site administrator and the Coordinator of Educational Services.  In 2003, Mrs. Morgan became the Director of Instruction and Professional Development for theSan Ramon Valley Unified School District.  After seven years in SRVUSD, she supported Benicia Unified School District as the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
