Parkmead has TWO volunteer, non-profit organizations that raise funds and provide programs and resources that directly benefit Parkmead Elementary and its students.
The Walnut Creek EducationFoundation raises funds to preserve and enhance the education of each student in the Walnut Creek School District and Las Lomas High School in the Acalanes Union High School District through abroad-based community effort.
Specifically, at Parkmead, WCEF funds Art, Music and P.E. classes for students which allows additional teacher collaboration to ensure sharing of best teaching practices and consistent educational experience.For more information about WCEF,click hereParkmeadEducationalResourcesCouncilPERC, or Parkmead Education Resources Council, is a nonprofit organization, run by parent volunteers who coordinate fundraising and set broad spending goals, aligned with the site plan, for the entire Parkmead school (both PCS and PALS).
PERC funds technology and science resources, Soul Shoppe, library books, and supports special school events and projects.PERC fundraising in three ways: 1) Annual events (Auction, Annual Check Writing during Welcome Back Day and the Walk-a-thon 2) Mr. Dick for the Day program and 3) Partner Program - advertising by community businesses.
