Welcome! I grew up in Southern California and graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon with a major in Elementary Education. My first job was at Burton Valley Elementary School in Lafayette in 1988.  I taught 8 years of 2nd grade and 3 years of Kindergarten.

I stayed home with our daughter until she began 1st grade when I was hired at Parkmead in 2005.  I have taught kindergarten or first grade ever since. I really enjoy these grades since students learn how to read and it's a magical time in their lives!
