• Hello Students and Families!

My name is Mrs. Muraoka.  I’ve been a part of WCI’s Special Day Class since 2004.  From 2004 to 2007, I was a classroom assistant.  I enjoyed being in this classroom so much that I earned my Special Education credential from St. Mary’s College in Moraga and became the classroom teacher in August 2007.  I also have a Multiple Subject/CLAD credential and a Supplemental Authorization in Science.  Prior to coming to WCI, I taught in the English Language Development program and worked with the music, art, and physical education classes at Murwood Elementary.

When teaching, I frequently draw upon life experiences and my education.   I earned a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Stanford University and Bachelor degrees in Biochemistry and Cell and Molecular Biology from San Francisco State University.

I believe strongly in the importance of a communication network between students, families, and teachers to support student success at school.  Students and parents, please feel free to contact me anytime a question or concern arises.

I’m looking forward to a great year of fun and accomplishments!

    Mrs. M.
