I am honored and delighted to be teaching 7th grade core at Walnut Creek Intermediate (WCI).  Prior to teaching, I spent 15 years in the publishing and technology industries as a writer and editor.  After taking some time off to be at home with my daughter, I went back to school to earn my teaching credential from Cal State, East Bay because I always wanted to be a teacher!

 

Together with my fellow 7th grade core teachers, I teach reading and writing in a workshop format that is designed to help my students become skillful, thoughftul, and joyful lifelong readers and writers. As an avid student of history myself, I bring a sincere passion and enthusiasm to my inquiry-based instruction of the social, cultural, and technological conditions and developments in medieval Europe, Africa, and Asia.
