Science is my inspiration and teaching is how I share it. Growing up in the Bay Area provided multiple opportunities to discover and explore various ecosystems, however my favorite place to be is by the ocean. That inspired me to attend Humboldt State University in Northern California where I recieved a degree in Oceanography and minor in Biology. My first jobs out of college were working with summer camps and being a teaching naturalist for outdoor education during the school year in Santa Cruz and Sonoma Counties. After going back to Humboldt State and recieving my teaching credential I am happy to be teaching in Walnut Creek and hope to inspire students to explore the world around them through a scientific lense!
