Dear Tice Creek Community,

I am thrilled to be your Principal and to welcome all of our students to an exciting school year!  We have amazing educators at Tice Creek who have been hard at work preparing for the new year to ensure your students will have a wonderful year. 

There are many exciting shifts happening at our school. We will have our new Multi-Purpose Room ready for our students. This modern facility will enhance our lunch time experience and also affords our students indoor and outdoor areas for lunch and recess. Our upper school students will have a new blacktop area that includes basketball courts, volleyball, exercise equipment and areas for outdoor learning experiences. Our elementary students also have their own playground and own outdoor tables for lunch and recess. In combination with our 6 new upper school classrooms, our facilities are truly representative of the kind of experience and education that our students deserve. I am thankful to our community who supported the construction of these facilities through the passage of Measure D. 

I look forward to helping create an educational environment that allows your student to be successful. I have met many of you and look forward to meeting each of you during both informal and formal times such as at drop off and pick up,  and at Back to School Night. 

I am a firm believer that as an educator, each day is a new day. I know that we are a Team at Tice Creek, working together to serve our students and community. Our students have the ability to grow and to learn each and every day. As such, I will end this first update by sharing the following; “Make it a great day, the choice is yours!”
