    Hello,

     
    Welcome to  year 2 at Tice Creek School. I am excited about what lies ahead.This year promises to be
    a year of experiential learning and opportunities for self discovery. The addition of our Enrichment & Genius Hours will be an assesst for
     
    I look forward to getting to know my students and their families. I consider us all part of the learning community and hope that you will
    feel free to contact me with any comments or concerns.  It is best yo use email as I check it most often. If you would like to make an appointment to see me, it is best to schedule after school or during my prep time. On MWF I have time from 1:15 pm - 1:50 pm and on TTH 2:15 pm- 2:50 pm.
     
    Our sixth grade theme will be " How do I take charge of my own learning?". Mrs. Ahmed and I do a (2) day orientation for sixth graders introducing the concepts of growth mindest and linking a well choosen goal with specific actions. Be sure to ask your student about goals they are setting. 
     
    I have also introduced your students to Josh Kaufman's Ted Talk video on how to be good at anything. You can find it on YouTube.Your students will be utilizing the information discussed in this video to accomplish new learning in math, science and personal enrichment. 
     
     
    Most goal is to instill enthusiasm for learning in my students. I hope to expand their knowledge of how to be an 
    active, lifelong learner.
