After graduating from US Davis with a B.S. in Environmental Planning and Management, I worked for BLM Conservation Corps Camps creating environmental education curriculum for the program participants. This career led me to Eugene, OR where I joined the Lane County Juvenile Department's Counseling Staff and led outdoor expeditions for referred youth. My love of wilderness pursuits led me to a position with Wilderness Ventures, an outdoor travel experience program in Jackson Hole, WY. Eventually, I married and returned to California to raise my three sons. I earned a Teaching Credential from Saint Mary's College in Moraga. I taught in a variety of settings including fifth grade, K-1, group homes and home and hospital programs. I left the public schools and pursued a career in real estate sales and later project management. I remained involved with education and provided academic coaching for junior high and high school students.

I am excited to be starting my second  year at Tice Creek.
