• Jana Palmquist, 7th Grade Core Teacher

    Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

    I am thrilled to be teaching 7th grade core at Walnut Creek Intermediate (WCI).  I started my career at WCI in 2004.  Prior to teaching, I spent 15 years in the corporate world.  Always desiring to teach, I began attending St. Mary's College of California and pursued and achieved a teaching credential and a masters degree in instruction. 
     
    I teach reading and writing in a workshop format, with the goal that students become better readers and writers and to believe that they are readers and writers!

    I believe that learning can be fun and strive to engage all students.  I'm energized about teaching and love an enthusiastic class! 

    I'm looking forward to working with and getting to know you all!

    It's going to be another great year!
