• SSC – School Site Council
    The SSC is a committee of equal numbers of staff and parents which meets monthly to monitor progress on the Strategic Plan, and to make suggestions for school improvement. Members participate in the creation and annual revision of the Site Strategic Plan. SSC approves the budgets of all categorical programs and oversees the development of the Comprehensive School Safety Plan.

    The School Site Council is actively involved in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curricular programs. We are constantly seeking to improve instructional practice and to provide effective materials for classroom use. In addition to site-based initiatives, many Buena Vista teachers are involved in District curriculum reform and planning.
