Responsibility- Parent Information
Greetings Parents!
The main tools we are teaching are:
• what it means to be responsible• what it looks like to be responsible at school and home• common excuses for NOT taking responsibility:-
"I don't care."
-
"No one told me."
-
"It's all YOUR fault."
-
"I give up."
You can help your child practice Responsibility by:
-
Reviewing the sayings on the book mark that your child brings home (grade 4 and under only)
-
Giving your child age-appropriate responsibilities at home.
-
Praising your child when he/she is responsible.
-
Supporting your child to make wise, responsible choices for himself/herself.
