Room 12 Classroom Rules Contract

1.    I come to school on time and line up on the playground at 8:05am.  I am always

         in line basics.

2.   I come every day prepared with my homework, signed forms, supplies, etc.
3.   I walk into the classroom calmly and quietly and get right to work.  
4.   Class time is for learning so I am on task, working to the best of my ability

        at all times.

5.   I follow the voice level chart in the front of the room.  I do not talk, act out or

        disturb my teacher and classmates.  I know that everyone has the right to a calm,  

        quiet working environment.

6.    I raise my hand to talk.  I wait until I am called on.  I do not shout out.
7.    When I am outside I walk silently in the halls in line basics.
8.    I respect myself by getting a good night’s sleep and eating regular

    nutritious meals and snacks.

9.    I respect the students, teachers and staff at BV.
10.    I only use the bathroom before school, at morning recess, lunch recess,

          after school or in case of an emergency.

If I do not follow a rule, I understand there are consequences.  I will:

• be given a blue sheet
• miss recess, although I can eat my snack and go to the restroom if necessary

• write the rule I did not follow
• think about why I did not follow the rule and write that reason down
• take the form home and talk it over with my parent/guardian
• write down what I will do next time to make sure I follow that rule  
• my parent/guardian and I will sign and date the blue sheet and return it the next day

I have read the rules.  I have read them with a parent/guardian.  I promise to do my best to follow the rules listed.
